School Based Club Director

Job Title: School Based Club Director

Salary: Starting pay $12

Hours: Will vary; part-time/full-time

Reports to: Club Area Director

Location: Fort Pierce & Port St. Lucie Locations

1. Introduction

The purpose of this job description is to report the functions, requirements, working conditions, and office responsibilities of the School Based Club Director.  This position reports directly to the Club Area Director.

2.Essential Functions

Under the direction of the Club Area Director, the primary functions of the School Based Club Director are to help manage overall daily operations of the designated school based clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.  The duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Help to establish Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes 
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained 
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate Club overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests 
  • Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation 
  • Contribute input for the financial resources by assisting the Club Area Director in the development of the annual budgets;  control expenditure against budget 
  • Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups;  ensure compliance with organization policies 
  • Manage and provide career development opportunities for Club staff and volunteers 
  • Attend regular staff meeting to share information and promote a team environment 
  • Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations 
  • Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community 
  • Oversee the purchasing of supplies and equipment to maintain adequate levels 
  • Work with the staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments 
  • Exercise authority in problems relating to members;  utilize guidance and discipline plan as needed 
  • Maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, and provide and receive information
  • Have regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel
  • Maintain contact with outside community groups, schools, membersí parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club 



  • Support other projects as needed
  • Completes any additional assignments as requested by the management staff


Must pass level 2 fingerprints with the Department of Children & Families.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE                                         

 High School Diploma or GED is required.  At least six months related work experience, preferably in a non-profit and/or school environment.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; High level of professionalism and diplomatic etiquette
  • Above average interpersonal skills; ability to work with and through people at all levels to accomplish goals

  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate an ability to learn quickly 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Some travel may be required for training and/or other business purposes.   


5. Working conditions
